What happens to my customers? How does this Contact Portfolio work?
You pass along your contact list of customers and clients to MGP, who will then register them as part of your database. From this point on, any referral that comes into the office will be considered a referral from you, and you will be entitled to the referral fee.

What if one of my clients is registered by another broker or agent?
Whoever had the last transaction with the client is considered the broker of record.

What if I still want to work with a few customers here and there or am not ready to retire completely?
Feel free. All we need to do is revise your signs so they are compliant with the state and have the brokerage name listed on the bottom.

What do I do if I have a team currently?
If you choose, your current agents can become part of your team and service your clients long term. Another option is to compile a team of our seasoned agents. All agents that are part of your team go through a marketing training program on how to effectively handle the questions and objections that may arise during your retirement process. All of your team members also have a full-time mentor who will work closely with them and make sure your contacts are satisfied and well taken care of. This way, all your years of hard work actually turn into a sound investment.

How do I let everyone know I've decided to slow down or stop actively listing and selling but still let them know I would be happy to refer them?
This is an easy one, and something we are quite excited about. Once you decide to take it easy and retire and your contact list is placed in your Contact Portfolio, we send a beautiful announcement card to each contact explaining your new way of doing business and that you have formed a team of professional agents working within your guidelines to assist you.

From there, we market to them from the "Smart Agent Team" on a scheduled basis, and keep in contact with them. This way, your team is receiving ongoing referrals and you are receiving ongoing referral income.

How long does the referral income keep flowing?
You will continue to receive referral income from your former clients and contacts, as long as they are buying and selling.

What if I would like to add another contact to my portfolio?
You simply add them on the website or with a quick phone call or e-mail to your MGP Coach or Team Leader.

Who is my contact at MGP?
Every retiring broker and agent is partnered with a Coach at My Green Parachute, and this is your main contact to speak with for questions, comments, issues, additions, or deletions from your contact portfolio.
